Roger Federer discusses enrolling his twin sons in Rafael Nadal’s tennis academy.

Roger Federer has shared that he recently enrolled his twin boys in the Rafa Nadal Academy, while his twin daughters had the opportunity to visit the John McEnroe Tennis Academy. Federer, now 42, and his wife Mirka are parents to four children. Their journey into parenthood began in 2009 with the arrival of twin girls named Charlene Riva and Myla Rose. Five years later, the family welcomed twin brothers named Leo and Lenny.

Federer disclosed, “All four kids are enjoying tennis. Initially, the girls weren’t too keen, but as they improved, they started enjoying it and even playing matches. They spent some time at the John McEnroe Academy in East Hampton, while the boys had their tennis camp experience in Mallorca at the Rafael Nadal camp for a few days.”

Despite officially retiring from professional tennis since September of last year, Federer remains actively involved in the sport by providing tennis lessons to his children. He humorously acknowledged the unique aspect of this dynamic, stating, “It’s certainly an interesting situation because I’m their dad, not a former player, but I make an effort to spend time on the court with them and impart some tennis knowledge.”

With more time spent at home in recent years, Federer has cherished the opportunity to spend quality time with his family. Looking ahead, the Federer family has exciting vacation plans for the remainder of the year. Federer expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I enjoy planning vacations; having something to look forward to is important. This year, we’re going to Japan for two weeks and then to the Maldives. I’m really excited about it.”

As for the future, it remains uncertain whether one of Federer’s children will follow in their father’s footsteps and become a professional tennis player.
